There are two ways to allow a sender or block a sender in Proofpoint:

  1. Through the Proofpoint Outlook add-in
  2. Manually through the Proofpoint End User Portal

Allowing or blocking a sender through the Proofpoint Outlook add-in

  1. While reviewing an email message, click the Proofpoint add-in from the Outlook ribbon, then select the Allow Sender button or Block Sender button, depending on what you want to do
    • This will automatically configure the setting in the End User Portal (mentioned above)
    • NOTE: If your Proofpoint buttons are greyed out, you may have your Outlook reading pane disabled.  You can either re-enable your Outlook reading pane for add ins to become available, otherwise you will need to double-click and open each message for the buttons to become available if you prefer that your Outlook reading pane is disabled
