Will this affect my Mobile Office apps?

No — your updated email address or display name will not impact how your Office apps function.
You can continue using mobile apps like Outlook and Teams without needing to sign out or reconfigure anything right away. Your access, password, and functionality will remain the same.


What will change?

Only the way your name or email appears visually within the apps may take some time to update. This won’t affect your ability to send emails, join meetings, or access files.


Want the apps to reflect your new email right away?

If you’d like to update your display name or email address in the app immediately, you can sign out and sign back in using your new email address.
This is completely optional and only affects how your info is displayed.


Microsoft Teams (Mobile App)

  1. Open the Teams app.

  2. Tap your profile icon in the top left corner.

  3. Tap Settings.

  4. Scroll down and tap Sign Out.

  5. After signing out, reopen the app.

  6. Enter your new email address and sign in with your password.


Outlook (Mobile App)

  1. Open the Outlook app.

  2. Tap your profile icon (or the mailbox icon in the top left corner).

  3. Tap the gear icon (⚙️) in the bottom left to open Settings then open Accounts.

  4. Tap on the account associated with your old email.

  5. Scroll down and tap Delete Account (don’t worry, this only removes it from the app).

  6. Once removed, tap Add Account.

  7. Enter your new email address and sign in with your password.
