How to Reset Your Microsoft Password Using a Mobile Device
If you need to sign in to your computer but can't remember your Microsoft password, follow these steps to reset it from your mobile device:
Open a Web Browser: On your mobile device, open any web browser, such as Safari or Google Chrome.
Visit Office.com: In the URL bar, type "office.com" and press Enter.
Sign In: Once the page loads, select Sign In.
Enter Your Email: Type in your primary email address and select Next.
Select 'Forgot My Password': Click on Forgot my Password to begin the self-service password reset process.
Complete the CAPTCHA: Follow the on-screen CAPTCHA prompt and hit Next.
Verify Your Identity: Microsoft will prompt you to verify your identity using the primary multi-factor authentication (MFA) method linked to your account.
-
Authenticator App Verification: If prompted for a code from your Authenticator app, open the Authenticator app, and select your Patriot Growth Insurance Services, LLC account.
Get the Code: You’ll see a One-Time password that refreshes every 60 seconds. Tap the two squares next to the code to copy it.
Return to Your Browser: Go back to your browser and paste the copied code into the designated box, then select Next.
Create a New Password: You will now be able to create a new Microsoft password. Ensure it meets Microsoft’s password complexity requirements. Choose something memorable, as this password serves as a backup for accessing your Windows profile if you forget your Windows Hello PIN. It’s also used for accessing Keeper, the required password manager for our organization.
Please note, resetting your Microsoft password will sign you out on all devices, and you will be prompted to enter your new password anywhere you login to your work email.
