An owner of an Outlook Distribution List or a Microsoft Office 365 Group, has the ability to self manage members and update members without the need of contacting IT.


This article will guide you through how to locate the owner and how owners can modify members.


How do you locate an owner?

Owners are listed within the Outlook Address Book.  Click on Address Book within your Outlook Ribbon, search for the list/group and the owner will be displayed:


How does an owner update an Outlook Distribution List?

The owner will navigate to the Address Book, open the Distribution List and click Modify Members where they will have permission to add or remove employees from the list:


How does an owner update an Office 365 Group?

The owner will navigate to the Groups section in the Outlook folder list, locate and click on the group and then click the Group Settings button in the Outlook Ribbon where they will have options to Add Members or Edit the Group.
