Recipients are unable to click on mail items or reply in Proofpoint
Experience:
An external recipient reports that they are able to login to Proofpoint, but different mail items will not load when being clicked. This also includes the inability to reply or forward because when those buttons are clicked, nothing happens.
Issue:
This is typically a browser cache issue and the recipient will need to clear their browser cache for the interface to work as expected.
Steps to correct:
Have the recipient clear their browser cache, close the browser and try again and the view should look correct, and the items and/or buttons should now be clickable.
Validation:
One of the clear indicators is that the recipient will show a banner on the top-left page stating "Your password has expired or is expiring soon" - This should not show
Others include bullets next to each item or the Reply, Reply All, and Forward buttons are stacked instead of next to each other (shown below)
