There are two ways to allow a sender or block a sender in Proofpoint:

  1. Through the Proofpoint Outlook add-in
  2. Manually through the Proofpoint End User Portal

Allowing or blocking a sender through the Proofpoint Outlook add-in

  1. While reviewing an email message, click the Proofpoint add-in from the Outlook ribbon, then select the Allow Sender button or Block Senderbutton, depending on what you want to do
    • This will automatically configure the setting in the End User Portal (mentioned above)
    • NOTE: If your Proofpoint buttons are greyed out, you may have your Outlook reading pane disabled.  You can either re-enable your Outlook reading pane for addins to become available, otherwise you will need to double-click and open each message for the buttons to become available if you prefer that your Outlook reading pane is disabled

Manually allowing or blocking a sender through the Proofpoint End User Portal

  1. Navigate to the End User Portal: https://006ee601.pphosted.com:10020/euweb/login
  2. Click on Lists from the lower-left pane
  3. Click on Safe Senders List or Blocked Senders List
  4. Click the New button at the top of the page.
  5. Add the email address or domain you want to either allow or block and click Save.
