Our phones allow us to access work emails and data from almost anywhere. This convenience comes with an added security risk. Intune Mobile Application Management, or MAM, provides security and data protection so that we can access corporate information on our privately-owned devices and maintain compliance with HIPAA. The program is designed to implement PatriotGIS data loss policies, which include controls to prevent data from being extracted from our environment and the ability to remotely wipe data for lost devices.
There are two options for using your phone to access PatriotGIS data :
1. Intune MDM applications - Protected applications, see the process documented below
2. Device registration - This registers the whole device giving PatriotGIS access to the whole phone. (Policies will be implemented as needed. No users have opted in for this process

When is Authentication with a PIN/Biometric Data Required?
Anyone accessing agencies' data on the device will be prompted to authenticate. You will be required to enter your PIN after 30 minutes of inactivity. Your PIN will expire every 90 days, and you will need to create a new PIN at that time.
